card front

Recognizing that neighbors can be wonderfully neighborly, the cards also provide for such compliments as “Hey Neighbor, thanks for being a good neighbor”, or “Hey Neighbor, your yard is beautiful.  Thank you!”.  The cards are free and available at SEDC corporate office and other locations around the southeastern San Diego community.

The redevelopment of our neighborhoods is more than bricks and mortar.  Its neighbors working together to maintain neighborhoods we can all be proud of.  Understanding the importance of healthy communities, SEDC created and launched a “Hey Neighbor” campaign designed to help neighbors communicate about potentially volatile issues with a sense of humor and levity.

The series of beautifully designed note cards allows neighbors to communicate about anything from watering the grass, “Hey Neighbor, I just want to say, looking at your grass makes me thirsty.  Please water your lawn”, or loud late night music, “Hey Neighbor, I just want to say, “Glad you’re havin’ a wail of a good time over there – but you keep me from my beauty sleep.  Can you help me out”?
